On 25 March 2021 we met again at The Corner House in Bondi for an important discussion about media concentration in Australia and its impact on our Democracy.
On 8 February 2021 we were joined by Independent Federal MP for Indi Helen Haines, Chair of the Centre for Public Integrity the Honourable Anthony Whealy QC and CEO of Transparency International Serena Lillywhite. We looked at the Government’s proposed Commonwealth Integrity Commission legislation as well as Helen Haines’ alternative legislation and discussed the details followed by a Q&A session
On 21 October 2020 we were joined by former NSW Court of Appeal Judge and Chair of the Centre for Public Integrity Anthony Whealy QC and Saffron Zomer of the Australian Democracy Network to look at some of the key elements of democracy and issues of concern in Australia.
On 21 September 2020 we were joined by Wentworth resident and sustainability adviser Maria Atkinson with economist Monica Richter to discuss the economic recovery from the COVID pandemic.
On 23 July 2020 we were joined by Wentworth Resident Blair Palese of 350.org to discuss the issue of climate change and how we can work to achieve political action in this area.
On 24 November 2020 we were joined by two inspiring local authors Marian Wilkinson and Sarah Wilson to discuss their new books “The Carbon Club” and “This One Wild and Precious Life”.
